Today is my day off!! That sounds stupid because I only work part time and I don't work on the weekends. But the weekends are pretty much the only time I get to see Jeremy. I work from 1-7 and I let him sleep as long as he can (he works nights and sleep during the day). After he wakes up we just sit around and watch TV. I don't really feel like doing anything when I get to spend time with J. I wake up around 9 (go to bed around midnight) and let WallE out, eat breakfast while he is outside so he's not all over me, wanting to drink my cereal milk. Then I let him in, feed him and enter sweepstakes. Then I get in the shower around 1145, and leave for work around 12:30 to be at work at 12:45. So there isn't much time in the day to get everything done I want to, when I work in the middle of the day.
I have gotten so much done today though!! I did some school work.. got done with a Unit which means I am ready to take a test! Did dishes, much needed laundry and paid bills! I like having all day to do stuff.
We got most of our Thanksgiving groceries. We got corn, a finger-food-tray, sweep potatoes and regular potatoes. Jeremy is getting our Turkey tonight after he wakes up. The Simons are bringing green bean casserole, and dessert. I think I am going to make some cookies also.
Stephanie B. brought me a bread mix. It's an amish recipe.. it stays in a ziplock bag, and you just "mush" it for the first 4 days, then on the 5th day you add more ingredients then mush it for 4 more days then you add lots more ingredients and divide the recipe into 4 cups. Add a cup into a 1-gallon ziplock bag (4 bags). And you share the bags with 4 friends! The bread is SO good! I want to bring some home for Christmas so everyone at work will be eating lots of bread because only the Amish know how to start the recipe. So I can't stop "mushing"!!
We haven't really started on Christmas shopping (grr!) but we did get our tree and a few decorations. We are just going to have a small tree this year. I figured it's easier this way, because we won't be here for Christmas, we don't have kids or anything to make it a magical Christmas for, so it's just easier and cheaper this way! I will buy Christmas decorations after the holiday when they are cheap, for next year.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
